U.S.P.S. Australia mail suspension has finally ended for all services except International Priority after a 6 months. New color cards resume listing every week.

Most mail to Australia had been suspended by the USPS, including up to 20% of large first class letters being returned, so this could lead to even longer delays in getting some stuff there. As of today, it is presumed that in November international deliveries will resume. In any case, listings continue on a weekly basis but less than usual until freight delivery is resumed.

After 2020 i've become superstitious about posting new projects but the 1971 VFL set is off to a good start so far with no production problems yet and hopefully will be completed by mid-June. New cards listed every Thursday night. To date these are the cards with the highest production value - on 25 point (actually closer to 28 when i put the calipers on it) chipboard with double sided printing in color.

listing this week are the first cards from a new Pre-WW1 Cricketers set. Two cards from this smaller set of 10-12 cards will be listed weekly. First this week are Jack Blackham and Fred Spofforth, followed by others including Vic Trumper, Monty Noble, Hugh Trumble, Joe Darling, young W.G. Grace , and others. Cards are loosely based on the Capstan / Will's Style and are slightly bigger than standard cigarette cards from the era at 5 x 8.9 cm.

Korny's K2 set will finally be complete as of next Thursday, when the final 2 cards will be available, You might find one of the players especially ENERGIZING. Once again, the set was supposed to be completed in early April. But 2020 had other plans.

New Footy Superstars cards listed this week after 6 weeks off. The most time i've taken off in 17 years. Although most of the time was spent working on a new 1910's era vintage baseball set which will be out soon. International mail still very challenging, and high rate of mail loss 10 to 50 times worse than average continues to be a problem. Korny's Colour Footballers Series II.1 could resume listing in 2-3 weeks. The set was supposed to be completed in April.

Korny's Colour Footballers Series II.1 will be listing again in 3-4 weeks as lockdowns ease. A few 1979 Retro Round cards, a set of current AFL players as they would have appeared in 1979 is listed this week. Sorry for the horrible pics at the moment but this isn't exactly the best time for one's scanner to malfunction. Hopefully that will be straightened out in a weeks or two as well.

The newly redesigned and rebooted Korny's Colour Footballers Series II.1 will be listing again tonight at the usual time after more than 2 weeks of manufacturing/supply chain problems and a separate laptop issue.

Korny's Colour Footballers Series II has been delayed indefinitely until I can find a printer who can cut cleanly cut cards properly centered on 25 point or thicker chipboard. The new batch picked up today were totally unsaleable due to multiple problems with printing, poor centering (even more than usual) and bad trimming on the reverse, and clamp marks on the few of the good cards. The thicker the stock, the more difficult it is to work with. Inside Eighties suffered a similar fate with numerous technical problems over 18 months which led me to believe the set was cursed. I am choosing to do these the most difficult way possible because aesthetically changing the stock from chipboard to the same crap that everyone prints cards on (16 point or 18 point UV gloss which literally every printer does) and tacky serial numbering on the back would not look authentic for the time period of these sorts of cereal cards. Most sets (80%) come off without a hitch, some troubled sets like Sportsmen of Oz II finally get done after long delays. But some just get cancelled.

Two colour sets in the can so far for 2019. I don't usually do two colour sets that close together because they are a lot of work. Some original art for Korny's Colour Footballers listed this week. in a shorter listing than usual for those that missed them, which considering there were only 6-8 of each card, are many.

Three months since the last update? How time flies. The last of the Korny's Colour Footballers set will be listed next Thursday, and possibly a few variants. Coming soon, in late May or June, is the 1971 VFL Diamond Jubilee set (previously known as 1971 VFL Captains) renamed to avoid confusion with a previous sketch series from a few years back, and also not to limit it to a 12 card set of Captains. Like Korny's Colour Footballers, The 1971 VFL Diamond Jubilee set will be on 22 point chipboard, closer to American "grey-back" football cards of the era but a little thicker, and be limited to 9 numbered cards per player.
